Ogni volta, sono colpita da come il metallo, il vetro e il talento umano di secoli o addirittura millenni fa, conservi ancora la sua apparenza originaria dopo secoli. I colori non sbiadiscono, la base di metallo non si deforma… e io non ho la possibilità di interferire con il processo. Posso solo correggerlo in base all’esperienza e all’intuito per regolare il tempo e la temperatura di cottura. Ciò conferisce unicità ad ogni opera. Questa è magia che non se ne va mai.”

Enamel has grown from a purely jewellery, applied purpose to an independent, technologically complex, paradoxical genre, opening up new opportunities for artists. Every time I am struck by how fused metal, glass and human talent hundreds and even thousands of years ago, retain their original appearance for centuries. The colours do not fade, the metal base is not deformed… I do not have the opportunity to interfere with the process; I can only adjust based on experience and intuition to regulate the time and temperature of firing. This gives uniqueness to each work. This magic does not let go.”
